This is the bottom retainer used in a number of Pentair DE filter grid assemblies. This is used in the Titan SS, CM, and RPM and in the Nautilus FNS Plus.

As shown there are 8 ribs extending from the center with tabs on each rib. These tabs are used to position the DE grids.
